It’s a pleasure to provide some feedback on our recent trip. In summary, we were absolutely thrilled with the High Scardus and PoB. Thanks for all you did to make this such a wonderful experience for all of us. Here are some specifics-

** Most importantly, Anton. What an exceptional guide and we felt super happy that we had him as our guide. It’s hard to fully describe how delighted we were each day with his leadership. He was always positive, fun and upbeat- even during pouring rain and any other more challenging time. It was a long time to be with a group and he never faltered in his enthusiasm to help us make the most of each day. Anton has a wonderful blend of professionalism, good humor, ability to listen and focus on safety. When appropriate, Anton made firm decisions and he also gave us options when possible. I was personally so excited to get in a few of the more challenging peaks such as Arapi and he truly made this happen. Ken will also be appreciative that Anton adjusted the pace so he could make the summit of Mt Korab. I’ve been a climb leader for many years and I can say that Anton excels in all respects. Anton is a strong representative of Zbulo- we’d be so happy to do another trek sometime with Anton.

** Logistics all smoothly unfolded over the two treks as well as our cultural time between the treks. We were never aware of a single glitch. I know this takes a lot of planning and all of your hard work paid off beautifully. We appreciated the guest houses and families along the way including the variety of settings. For example, a larger and more “luxurious” hotel in Vabona and simpler accommodations with the lovely family in Cerem.

** HST was a pure delight and we’re really glad you encouraged us to give this a try. The simple guest houses, families and warm hospitality were so delightful. Grama Alp was a true favorite. We were amazed by the varieties of the flowers and couldn’t get enough of them in photos. Just as you said, we didn’t run into any other trekkers on the route and we so enjoyed the non-commercialized beauty. Connection with the families along the way will be a lasting high point of our experience.

** We know there is a lot of behind the scenes to make it all flow. Even the drivers were so interesting and friendly.

All in all, Ken and I have absolutely the best of feelings about our experience in Albania. We hope to connect with Zbulo again in the near future.
