It was a great trip even though we only did 1 out of 3 peaks in the itinerary because of snow and it rained on us most days. Our guide was amazing and took great care of us. Stunning scenery. Really fun group of people. Staff at the guest houses were friendly. I will definitely be back to Albania.

Excellent trip! totally recommended, hiking in the Balkans is a beatiful experience, the scenery was unbelievale - it felt as it you were in Switzerland or the French Alps. A lot of hills, so it is not just a walk in the park but it is totally worth it! Our guide Mirjeta was very good and accommodating and the group dynamic was great, so it was a really good

A fantastic trip in the Balkans! We went on the first MuchBetterAdventures Balkans 3 Peaks Challenge and had a great time. The weather (rain and snow) meant it wasn't safe to do all 3 peaks, but plans were adjusted and we still had 4 great days of hiking, with challenging walks and stunning views. The difficulty rating of the trip shouldn't be underestimated
A fantastic trip in the Balkans! We went on the first MuchBetterAdventures Balkans 3 Peaks Challenge and had a great time. The weather (rain and snow) meant it wasn’t safe to do all 3 peaks, but plans were adjusted and we still had 4 great days of hiking, with challenging walks and stunning views. The difficulty rating of the trip shouldn’t be underestimated – we didn’t do all the peaks and still found it physically challenging. The elevation and multi day nature of the trip made for weary legs! There were some snow crossings and steep sections. (Walking poles were optional on the kit list, but we wished we’d bought them with us.) The food was super fresh and lots of it! Tomatoes, cucumbers, cheese and eggs. All the hosts, staff and local people we interacted with were so friendly, welcoming and generous. The accommodation was simple but always clean and comfortable. Our guide was wonderful – kind, funny and an experienced hiker. She did a great job bringing our group together. We found 2 spots of some wild ‘swimming (pools in the river to dip in). Very refreshing!

he Balkan 3 Peak challenge is amazing. Quite tough to get to the top but very rewarding when you do. The local people are very kind and welcoming, and the guide was very experienced and reassuring throughout the trip. I would definitely go again.

I trekked with a fantastic group of people and made many good memories along the journey. The mountain accommodation is simple but sufficient whilst the Hotels in Gjakova and Tirana are outstanding. I trekked with a fantastic group of people and made many good memories along the journey. The mountain accommodation is simple but sufficient whilst the Hotels in Gjakova and Tirana are outstanding. The food across the entire trip was plentiful and delicious with lots of local produce. Our June departure was hit with rain and snow in the peaks which unfortunately led to summiting only one of the three peaks. I believe that in the right weather conditions this trip would be outstanding in so many categories!
