Gjirokaster – Tirane

Explore Gjirokastër’s steep cobbled streets, Ottoman-era houses and castle above the Drino Valley. The old town is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List and includes museums covering the city’s architecture and twentieth-century history.

Depending on your interests and available time, visit the castle, the ethnographic museum or the neighbourhoods above the bazaar. The onward journey to Tirana takes up to four hours by the arranged transfer or public transport option.

The evening is free to explore central Tirana before the final night.
