What a great introduction to Albania. This is not just a hike, but a series of history and cultural lessons. Our guide, Nedih, answered every question and shared a wealth of knowledge based on his experience growing up in the Balkans. His sincerity and honesty about all topics was refreshing.

The hike itself was beautiful and well-paced. Accommodations were top-notch – after hours of hiking a welcoming and comfortable guest house would appear out of nowhere, not to mention the planned coffee stops each morning. Each stop was an opportunity to interact with locals and learn about their lives, as well as partake in hearty and fresh-from-the-garden meals. This is a well-tuned excursion into Balkan life and landscapes.
