The fantastic Hidden Valleys hiking trip in Albania was excellent. We had an great time and thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the experience. The itinerary was well thought out, the scenery breathtaking, and the whole journey left a lasting impression.

The home stays exceeded expectations – not only were they comfortable, but the hospitality was genuinely warm and welcoming. The food throughout was consistently excellent, and the hosting superb.

A couple of things to be mindful of; some paths were becoming overgrown and had fallen trees across them, so a bit of pushing past to be done, and long trousers would be useful if you don’t want scratched legs 😉 The other is that we found taking hiking poles was needed (younger people may of course be ok!), but there are some climbs, and on the day down from Sheper, it is long, and they definitely helped! We posted our poles home as airlines won’t allow them in the cabin (we went by train and boat so didn’t have that issue with getting the poles to Albania!).
