We hiked Zbulo!’s 11-day self guided Peaks of the Balkans trail. Zbulo! provided excellent organization, good value for money and quick help when questions arose during the trip.
Most guesthouses had a better standard than the trip description suggested, they all were upgraded since my first trip in 2021.
The trail is still a great experience although it is not an insider tip any more.
Theth suffers from overtourism, make sure to stay in a guesthouse in the upper part of the valley like Kometa, that was still quiet and authentic.
