Top marks for the tour, for the scenery, including the amazing alpine meadows (July 2026), the food, the hospitality, and our wonderful guides (Nedih and Franc) who made sure that everything ran smoothly. Even the weather cooperated, with only two hours of rain one morning.
However, in order to enjoy this tour, a good level of fitness is a must, as most days start with a steep ascent lasting about two hours, to be followed later by a steep descent. You get a great workout and the views are tremendous, if you can cope with the pace and the effort required.
The trail is marked but the paths are not maintained, so can be uneven, stony, slippery when wet. Bring good hiking shoes/boots.
