Overall it was a wonderful holiday and on a scale of 1-5 we give it a 5.
Best part for us was the first 3 days hiking in Albania. Weather introduced a significant bias however as we had absolutely perfect weather in Albania and cold, rainy, windy weather in Montenegro.
We were very favorably impressed with the flawless logistics. Every driver was prompt and courteous although the local bus drivers drove a bit fast. We were also impressed with the lodging although the night in the unheated hut in Vranjak Ecovillage was quite chilly, the staff and the food and the hiking and the wild blueberries were all fantastic. Although we have very few friends who are as adventurous as ourselves, it’s a trip we would highly recommend and sing praises to Albania, Montenegro, the local people and Natural Adventure Company to anyone who we talk to about our trip.
Also we must mention that we appreciate that we interacted only with locals through out the trip and found all very friendly, resourceful and capable. Special compliments to Ermin in Valbona.
Finally, I don’t remember his name but the representative who met us the first evening at the Rose Garden Hotel in Shkodër downloaded the ViewRanger app and all our hikes onto my phone that first evening. Brilliant! It was all we ever used or needed. We didn’t have to use the ‘Road Books ‘ for navigation at all! Highly recommend you make this option available to all your clients.
